The IEEE Biometrics Council has several (joint) chapters worldwide and is growing. The local biometrics chapters propose and organize a wide variety of technical activities related to biometrics to serve local young researchers, academics as well as industrial professionals. They also organize special sessions on new and specific biometrics areas in flagship conferences and international workshops. Details of the current chapters are listed below.
