The IEEE Biometrics Council has close connections to the IEEE Computer Society, and has co-sponsored WACV and FG in the past. Since 2024, FG is being organized as a flagship conference of the IEEE Biometrics Council, and is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Computer Society. WACV was co-sponsored by both IEEE Biometrics Council and IEEE Computer Society until 2019.

IEEE T-BIOM
The IEEE Transactions on Biometrics, Behavior, and Identity Science (T-BIOM) publishes original articles on all aspects of biometrics (i.e. recognizing people through their physiological or behavioral traits such as face, fingerprint, iris, and signature), including theory, applications, systems, and surveys.

Chapters
The IEEE Biometrics Council has several (joint) chapters as well as student branch chapters worldwide and is growing. The local biometrics chapters propose and organize a wide variety of technical activities related to biometrics to serve local young researchers, academics as well as industrial professionals.
