The IEEE Biometrics Council has two flagship conferences, namely, the IEEE International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB) and the IEEE conference series on Automatic Face and Gesture Recognition (FG). IJCB was initiated by joining two earlier conferences in 2011, the IEEE Biometrics Theory, Applications, and Systems (BTAS) conference and the International Conference on Biometrics (ICB), and FG has been organized since 1995.
