We are pleased to announce an IEEE Transactions on Biometrics, Behavior, and Identity Science (T-BIOM) Special Issue on Human Recognition in Aerial Surveillance, the first dedicated T-BIOM forum on biometric recognition under aerial and long-range sensing conditions.
The call is open to everyone for papers by 15 Dec 2026 and there will also be papers invited from AERO-HPR @ CVPR 2026 and VreID-XFD @ WACV 2026. We welcome high-quality submissions on face, gait, whole-body, hand-geometry, and multi-modal recognition from UAVs and other elevated platforms, on aerial and long-range person re-identification, and on datasets, benchmarks, and the privacy and ethics of aerial biometrics.
