The IEEE Biometrics Council supports the Winter School, the Summer School, and the LATAM Summer School on Biometrics, as well as bi-monthly webinars. The Winter School on Biometrics has been organized in Shenzen, China, since 2018, and the Summer School on Biometrics in Alghero, Italy, since 2009. The LATAM Summer School is organized in the Latin American region, with the first edition held in 2024.

IEEE T-BIOM
The IEEE Transactions on Biometrics, Behavior, and Identity Science (T-BIOM) publishes original articles on all aspects of biometrics (i.e. recognizing people through their physiological or behavioral traits such as face, fingerprint, iris, and signature), including theory, applications, systems, and surveys.
Conferences
The council supports several conferences and scientific gatherings on biometrics including The IEEE International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB), IEEE conference series on Automatic Face and Gesture Recognition (FG) and more.

Chapters
The IEEE Biometrics Council has several (joint) chapters as well as student branch chapters worldwide and is growing. The local biometrics chapters propose and organize a wide variety of technical activities related to biometrics to serve local young researchers, academics as well as industrial professionals.
