Participants who require a Schengen VISA to attend FG 2019 in France are encouraged to start their VISA application as early as possible (at least two months before arrival).
The visa wizard will help you determine the visa requirements to which you are subject, as well as the submission fee and required supporting documents.
You may also want to check useful country-specific information, so that you can access the most accurate information for your visa application.
Participants requiring a VISA need to request a letter of guarantee, which will be issued by the Conference Secretariat. Payment of the FG2019 registration fee should be settled before the visa application procedure starts. Please note that the letter of guarantee facilitates visa arrangements only, and does not imply provision of any financial or other support.
To obtain the letter of guarantee participants need to:
- Register for the conference. Select the ‘Letter of guarantee postage’ option on the ‘Optional items’ page only if you need a hard copy of the letter sent to you via regular mail. (click HERE to proceed to the registration page),
- Fill out the Letter of Guarantee Form [Download PDF] and submit it to the Jean Martinet (jean.martinet@univ-lille.fr) from the Conference Secretariat. Note that it takes 1-2 weeks to receive the letter.
Please note that all costs related to VISA arrangements are to be covered by the participants (verification tax and DHL post costs if needed).
